The reason why NMM was discontinued was because while it was 'in-your-face' when it comes to installing mods, it also handled them really badly (which made it really easy to break things).īecause of how NMM works, mods are installed on the idea of 'install order', which is really bad, because if you have 5 mods that overwrite each other, and you want to change which one has priority, you're going to need to uninstall and install all 5 of them to make sure as many files are used.
If you're willing to deal with a buggy software, or having to press the 'Deploy Mods' button after you've installed mod(s), use Vortex. Software is in beta however and therefore buggy.
The way Vortex handles mods is a lot better than NMM and safer.
